![]() The final epilogue page, again several generations later seeing the overgrown vegetation, features a kid finding what looks to be Eren’s tomb, which now looks like Ymir’s tree. Next, several generations later, as the buildings look much more technologically advanced, Paradis is destroyed. Fans are torn about whether the family is Jean and Mikasa, Gabi and Falco, or some completely unrelated characters. Overall, we still don’t know who the family in the extra page near Eren’s tomb is supposed to be. … But, it’s thanks to the life you birthed that I’m here now. And those who had their lives stolen (because of it) won’t come back. Mikasa to Ymir: “It was you… the one who was always peeking into my mind… I think your love was like an endless nightmare. Here’s a quick translation by yours truly. In the volume itself, we’ll have the three new pages with Mikasa speaking to Ymir, the original ending, and then the remaining 4 extra pages as epilogue. However, it’s not the actual order in which the extra pages appear in Volume 34. This tweet lists all the extra pages one after another, from left to right. Fans are speculating it’s Mikasa and Jean together. It’s a man and a woman, carrying a baby, and in front of what looks like Eren’s tomb. It shows two characters from their back, so we can’t see their faces. Here’s what the “leaked” extra page panel looks like. It’s possible a similar scenario happened with AoT volume 34. This is how the Famitsu magazine leaks happen each Wednesday for example. Some of those people then post leaks on the net. Manga chapters leaks happen because the magazines where the manga are prepublished are obtained by a handful of people, usually 3 to 4 days before release. However, seeing the volume is releasing on June 9, it’s likely it was already completed and printed as of May 14, 2021. It’s unclear if it’s real or not, and a reverse google image search indicates the photo was first shared on Chinese forums. On May 14, 2021, a photo of what looks to be the “leak” of a panel from the extra pages of volume 34 was “leaked”. AoT manga volume 34 extra pages leaked? Cover reveal (update)

While Llano's CPU performance doesn't promise to be a substantial improvement over what we've seen here (the cores are basically K10.5), the integrated graphics should at least be a big enough boost to make it a very compelling mobile part. The E-350 beats it at every turn and even the utterly anemic GeForce 310M is a substantial improvement. Unfortunately the 3DMark tests bear out just how poorly AMD's 40-shader IGP has aged. For reference we've included the E-350's scores so you can see what bumping up to even a slower full-sized AMD notebook can get you. All of the AMD chips are more or less dwarfed by their Intel rivals, but it's not a complete bloodbath. So with that in mind, the tri-core running at 100MHz slower than the P340 in the EE34 seems like it's probably the best compromise, but the P340 doesn't put in an awful showing either. I'm confident that these scores are within the ballpark for what you could expect from the Athlon II P340, but they bear mentioning nonetheless.Ĭomparing against the other AMD processors in the lineup, the P920 is a quad-core chip running at 1.6GHz while the N830 is a tri-core chip running at 2.1GHz. The EE34 completed all our other tests perfectly fine and was nice and stable in regular use, but it bears mentioning that for the x264 results we did have to simulate the processor using a desktop Athlon II X4 with two cores disabled and the clocks adjusted. This occurred whether on the factory install or on a clean installation of Windows 7, and it's the only time we've ever seen this happen. ![]() Inheriting the K10.5 architecture from its desktop siblings, it at least offers a good bump over older K8-based chips and is capable of handling most of the tasks you're liable to throw at it.īefore we get too far in analyzing these results, it's important to note that our usual x264 benchmark refused to run on the EE34 and would always crash at exactly the same point. With that said, though, the 25W, 2.2GHz Athlon II P340 dual-core processor isn't a particularly bad chip either. These aren't bad chips, but if AMD's been struggling to play catch-up on the desktop they've been left miles behind in notebooks where power and heat become ever more important. Developers almost always state the version of Kontakt required for their libraries and it’s important to check that you have the right one before you make a purchase. To use a third-party library (a library that has not been encoded by Native Instruments) you must be using the version of Kontakt that the library was created in or newer – Kontakt is not forwards compatible. Most sample libraries you buy from third-party developers, including Xtant Audio, have not been encoded by Native Instruments and therefore won’t appear in this tab nor can they be installed by clicking the “Add Library” button. Only sample libraries that have been sent by the library’s developer to Native Instruments for encoding show up here and they work not only in the full version of Kontakt but also in the free Kontakt Player. ![]() The Libraries tab displays all of the Kontakt libraries that have been installed using the “Add Library” button. If you can’t see the browser you need to open it by clicking the “Browse” button located at the left of Kontakt’s top menu. This image is probably one you’re familiar with. It’s the Libraries tab in Kontakt’s browser window. The information presented in this guide is applicable to most third-party Kontakt sample libraries but there are always exceptions so it’s important that you read the user guides that come with the libraries you purchase. Here we’re going to focus on the latter as those are the ones that you’re more likely to struggle with loading into Kontakt (the first time at least). Those that run in the free Kontakt Player and those that will only work with the full (paid) version of Kontakt. Kontakt sample libraries come in two flavours.

So, in conclusion, it seems that Render To Texture will only sample Normal Maps at 1 sample per pixel when rendering with Mental Ray leaving you with poorly anti-aliased images. Not only does rendering with 256 samples as a MINIMUM not improve the anti-aliasing, it also takes 7 minutes now. Normal Map with Classic/Raytraced sampling and minimum set to 256 samples In fact, you can set the minimum to something outrageous like 256 and the quality will not improve: Normal Map with Classic/Raytraced sampling and minimum set to 64 samples Yippie! Problem solved right? Test our theory by rendering with a minimum of 64 samples per pixel, pretty high quality that should yield nice anti-aliasing: Now if we change the Minimum, the RTT "Samples per Pixel" option updates. So what if we change to the old "Classic/Raytraced" sampling method. In fact, with Unified Sampling, it will always say 1 and will never render to a higher sampling, leaving your Normal Maps with this poor aliasing. ![]() The quality of the anti-aliasing seems no different and in fact if we look at the "Projection Mapping" "Options" we see that the "Samples per Pixel" still says "1". Normal Map with UnifiedSampling Minimum set to 16 Ok, so let's set the minimum up to 16 and see what we get. Indeed, it looks like RTT is only using the "minimum" sampling setting to render Normal Maps. So to test that, lets set both Max and Min to 1 and see what we get:Ĭomplete Map rendered with Unified Sampling set to Minimum=1 and Maximum=1 At the Unified default of minimum = 1 and maximum = 128 it appears that RTT is only using the minimum for the Normal Map portion of the render and NOT taking advantage of the adaptive sampling up to 128 that we see in the complete map. Notice the sampling "setup" which just takes you to the render dialog's sampling group for Mental Ray. Note: Click the images to see the full resolution details Setting up all our settings correctly and doing a render from RTT at 512 x 512 we get a reasonable looking complete map, but the Normal Map seems very pixelated: ![]() now let's look at some of the renders RTT produced and some of the settings that are confusing.Īssuming we leave Mental Ray at some generic settings, we have Final Gather enabled, some generic lights and we're using Unified Sampling for anti-aliasing. I've setup the low detail model and Projection Modifier. However, I have only found a few dealing with the anti-aliasing issue and none addressing the specific issues with Mental Ray (that doesn't mean there isn't something out there of course).įor my examples below I'm using a hubcap model. BTW there are tons of great tutorials and forum posts related to these tasks online. So next you would align your 2 models, create the Projection Modifier (either by adding it in RTT or manually) and refine the projection cage to your liking. Projection mapping is required and RTT is set up to deal with this. You probably want to create a normal map to add detail from the high poly version onto the lower poly version. I do not profess to be an expert in any of these areas, just another experienced user, frustrated by some unexpected behavior in Max.ġst you likely have a high detail model and you plan to use RTT to render out some good maps to use on a lower detail model. I'll assume at this point you are familiar with RTT and have at least dabbled in it to produce various image outputs for use, most likely, in some sort of real-time or gaming environment. If there's a solution I'm not aware of using Mental Ray, please let me know what I'm missing. Below are some samples and a description of the problems and my recommended solution at the bottom. If you've used Render to Texture (RTT) with Mental Ray as your renderer, you may have been frustrated by the poor anti-aliasing quality of Normal Maps produced through RTT. |
